the girl on the train by paula hawkinsstars: ★★★★☆pacing of the book was good, and i really enjoyed the main character as an unreliable narrator. i thought the twist was really good, though the characterization of tom felt very cliche once everything was unraveled. i finished the book in three days, so i definitely can't scoff at that. i don't regret my purchase at all, i really enjoyed the book. |

oyasumi punpun by asano iniostars: ★★★★★what can i say about this manga. it is incredible. i relate a lot to punpun, for better or for worse. this manga has inspired me to try and change myself, to be better for those around me. the art work, the absurdism, the characters, everything about oyasumi punpun is a magnificent triumph to me. i love inio's other works too, but something about punpun is so hauntingly beautiful and tragic. i fully believe everyone should experience this manga once. |

shimeji simulation by tsukumizustars: ★★★★★very silly, very cute, and incredibly intriguing. i liked girls' last tour (still need to read the manga, watched the anime) and wanted to check out if the creator had other works, and to my luck, shimeji simulation exists! i really love the imagery and aesthetics conjured up by the dream setting, it feels incredibly liminal and sort of reminds me of yume nikki in the best ways. shijima is very relatable (to the point she's on the kinlist lol), i loved the side characters, and overall it's a very warm feeling manga to me. i really liked it. |
